UPDATE

The video I posted a few days back has been tweaked. This is now the final version.

I found a bunch of extra footage from London and added that in. The runtime has gone from 2:37 to 3:34 to accomodate the extra footage.

Check it out a couple posts down.

In December of 2011, I traveled to London with my family. The sky was gray, the air cold, and the wind whipped fast. This is how it felt.

In Case You Missed It of the Day: Stephen Colbert sits down with Where the Wild Things Are author and affable crank Maurice Sendak to discuss a potential Where the Wild Things sequel among other penises.

Part 2 airs tonight.

[ccinsider.]

This is really wonderful. Colbert and Sendak have an amazing repartee.

Where The Wild Things Are 2: Wildin’ Out feat. Vin Diesel is a stellar idea.

Holy macaroni. This is awesome.

One of my favorite artists, John Baldessari, and one of the more enjoyable young actors working today, Jason Schwartzmann, share the streets together in this awesome clip for Pacific Standard Time.

If you’re in LA, attend some of these shows and events. They are awesome.

Woolfy - Looking Glass

This isn’t a new track, it’s just an amazing one. Awesome video as well. Go snag the 12” from DFA that includes the Extended Mix of this track. It builds and breaks with the best of ‘em.

Slightly NSFW as naked breasts are visible.

YES! DFA Records are back with their third White Out Session!

This time around, we have the pleasure of listening to the new 12” from Invisible Conga People (the real ICP), who haven’t released anything since 2008’s Cable Dazed/Weird Pains 12” on Italians Do It Better.

“In a Hole” is mesmerizing. For the sake of not sounding like a music journalist, all I will say is that I imagine attending the world’s most awesome seance to sound something like this. We’d probably be recalling the trapped spirit of someone like Nikola Tesla or Ramesses II.

“Can’t Feel My Knees” feels much different, while still being distinctly ICP. Instead of a seance, this time they take us on a soothing ride down a river covered in a dense canopy where sunlight sneaks thinly through the branches. The vocals surround our inner tubes as we float through the forest.

And that’s it. ICP reigns supreme once again. Thank you, DFA, for getting these dudes back into my ears again.

Bruce Springsteen - Dream Baby Dream (Suicide cover, Live)

I admit to not being a huge fan of Springsteen’s original work. But Springsteen not only covering Suicide’s “Dream Baby Dream”, but covering well? I’m behind this all the way.

Health-conscious Chips Ahoy + Tub of icing + Poop jokes + Anger + Vulgarity = Best food review ever made.

DFA Records continues to inspire me. With this newest series, “The White Out Sessions”, they record video of new tracks from DFA artists playing on an office turntable.

This is #2, YACHT’s “Dystopia (The Earth Is On Fire)”. Great track, great video, great label.

This video has been my life for the past two days. The funniest.
