In Case You Missed It of the Day: Stephen Colbert sits down with Where the Wild Things Are author and affable crank Maurice Sendak to discuss a potential Where the Wild Things sequel among other penises.
Part 2 airs tonight.
[ccinsider.]
This is really wonderful. Colbert and Sendak have an amazing repartee.

The Shins - "Simple Song"
What an anthem.
The first Shins’ album since 2007, Port of Morrow, comes out one day in March. This makes that day a reasonably exciting one until proven otherwise.

2011 in summation
randrenfrow:
JAN - SEP: Felt the best I have in my entire life. OCT - DEC: Felt the worst I have in my entire life. I am still alive. People still love me.
Amen.
The twenty-third year has been the worst one yet. But I guess that means we can only go up from here.

Walking.
I love walking. Especially in massive, cosmopolitan cities that make it a real joy. London is one of these places. Los Angeles is not.
Walked to a delicious English breakfast in Westminster at a shop they call Regency Cafe. Wonderful. Sausage, beans, toast, egg, bacon. The woman at the counter is something else. A nice lady with a Howitzer of a voice.
From there, I took a jaunt over to...

London...
Jet lag is Satan’s gift to travelers. One minute I’m wide awake and ready to tear London apart, the next I’m waking up 6 hours later over the covers in full suit wondering what city I’m in.
For some reason, I went to a terrible facsimile of Tex-Mex and Texas BBQ called The Texas Embassy near Trafalgar Square. Not sure what I expected and a review is unnecessary....

If you like your guitar funky and your keys spaced-out, this belongs with you.

DJ Kaos - "From Inside"
DJ Kaos’ output has been rather slim in the last two years. In 2010, he released the Horny Morning Loop 12” on Jolly Jams, but even those were merely remixes of his work.
In 2011, DJ Kaos makes his return to DFA Records, where he released the excellent Love The Nite Away 12” in May of 2009 (in association with Rong Music) with the “From Inside”...
