Dock Ellis & The LSD No-No
An animated re-telling of Dock Ellis’ classic game he pitched on LSD.
This is absolutely amazing. I love the art style and I absolutely LOVE Dock Ellis. What a funny dude.

Why is this music atop the charts and how can this kid claim to have never heard of The Postal Service until after making a carbon-copy of it?
11/5/09. Facial Hair barely coming in. I am not a man.
Also, I have not showered today.
Surfer Blood - Swim (To Reach the End)
I know I posted another Surfer Blood song earlier this week, but Astro Coast is an awesome album. Also, I’ve taught myself almost every guitar part in this song (both lead and rhythm) through ear training!
I like the lead parts, they’re full of cool and simple riffs that play well together.
Spoon - The Mystery Zone
New track from their album Transference, which releases 01/26/2010. I don’t know how these guys do it every time, but every track they make sounds different while still keeping that awesome analog aesthetic.
I can’t wait to hear the rest of this album.
(Another track from the album, “Got Nuffin” was released on the Got Nuffin EP earlier this year)
Surfer Blood - Floating Vibes
So these guys are getting tons of hype right now from all of the requisite indie rock publications (Pitchfork, Stereogum, yadda yadda yadda).
The first time I heard this song I was pissed. These guys have captured both the tone and rhythm that I’ve been working towards trying to record for myself - and they’re really good. That sucks for me.
A person I know named Jack has started doing comics. So far there are only two, but they made me do an inner-chuckle. That’s promising to say the least.
Fatlip - What’s Up Fatlip?
Man, the Pharcyde were awesome. Unfortunately for them, Fatlip was the MOST awesome part of the group and when they let him go, a lot of reason for their success went with him.
The documentary that Spike Jonze shot (at the same time he did the music video) is incredible. It becomes clear that Fatlip’s self-deprecating lyrics aren’t a show, but reality.
